Improved genetics and new forest products present landowners with ever-increasing options in generating returns from their timberlands. Landowners can choose to plant cloned seedlings, second generation seedlings, and everything in between. Landowners can generate revenue through fuel chips, pulpwood, sawtimber, pine straw, and, hopefully soon, cellulosic ethanol.
